The Doctoral Workshop associated with the LAMBDA Big Data Analytics Summer School is organized with the aim to provide Ph.D. candidates an opportunity to present their research projects.
Another goal of the Workshop is to develop a supportive community within which students can begin to develop a professional network, interacting with peers and senior scholars from the field.

This deliverable aims to present an Action plan for scientific excellence and innovation capacity building of the PUPIN Institute in the domain of Big Data Analytics for the following five years (2021-2025). It builds upon the LAMBDA Deliverable 5.9 Sustainability Measures and Activities, Innovation and IPR Management (Report) and the Research and Development Program of the Mihajlo Pupin Institute (2020-2025).

Abstract:
The digitalization of the energy sector enables higher levels of operational excellence with the adoption of disrupting technologies. The Energy Big Data framework of the modern smart energy networks provides an ideal ecosystem for knowledge exploitation from data. PLATOON pretends to deploy distributed/edge processing and data analytics technologies for optimized real-time energy system management in a simple way for the energy domain expert.
The primary objective of SINERGY project is to strengthen the research capacity and further unlock the innovation potential of IMP, transforming it into a regional Centre of Excellence in the smart energy management.
We are pleased to inform you that the Board of Directors (BoD48) of BDVA and BDVA General Assembly have approved our application. Since September 2020, the Mihajlo Pupin Institute is an Associate Member of the Big Data Value Association (new name DAIRO, or DAta, AI and Robotics).
The LAMBDA Plenary Meeting, organized by Fraunhofer IAIS (Dresden branch) on the 20th of December had a goal to review the activities in 2020 and prepare a plan of activities for 2021. Due to COVID-19, the Plenary Meeting was organized ONLINE.
