About the School
One of the objectives of the LAMBDA project is organization of a Big Data Analytics Summer School in Belgrade in 2019 and 2020.
In year 2020, as part of LAMBDA activities, a Foresight Exercise was organized that brought together leading experts in the West Balkan region together with European and international experts.

The workshop ‘Knowledge Representation & Representation Learning (KR4L)’ will be held in conjunction with the 24th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI 2020). There currently is a perceived disconnect between the areas of Representation Learning (RL) and Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (KRR). Most of the research is currently concentrated on one area or the other, yet arguably representation learning is central to make use of knowledge representation and reasoning techniques in modern, scalable AI applications.
The International Conference on Information Society and Technology (ICIST) is one of the top IT scientific events in Serbia and the region, with 70-100 papers presented each year, an average of 200 participants per edition, attended also by the number of IT industry representatives in the region.
During the Open Data Week (2- 6 March 2020), the LAMBDA project together with the Chamber of Economy and the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro organized an event 'Open Data - Business opportunities and innovation for SMEs and start-ups'. The event brought together experts from Serbia and Montenegro to discuss the
24th International Information Technology Conference IT 2020 which will be held from February 18th until February 22nd in Žabljak. Conference shall host lectures and round table discussions about development trends in the field of information and communication technologies, as well as actual problems in this field in Montenegro.
The second PUPIN - IAIS (Knowledge Discovery Department) Meeting was organized at the Institute Mihajlo Pupin premises from 11 to 13th of February 2020.
The team discussed the joint activities in 2020 and posiibilities of extending the cooperation after the LAMBDA project end.
