We are glad to announce that the LAMBDA consortium met the Advisory Board Members at the Belgrade Art Hotel on June 17, 2019. During the 3-day events (Big Data Analytics Summer School, 18-20.06.2019), the PUPIN staff and other guests from West Balkan countries had opportunities to network with experts and internationally renowned Big data and semantic technologies professors.

Python is an interpreted, interactive, object-oriented programming language. It incorporates modules, exceptions, dynamic typing, very high level dynamic data types, and classes. Python is an extremely popular general-purpose, dynamic, and is a widely used language within the data science community.

SANSA is a big data processing engine for scalable processing of large-scale RDF data, please check SDA Web pages. SANSA uses Spark and Flink which offer fault-tolerant, highly available and scalable approaches to process massive sized datasets efficiently. SANSA provides the facilities for Semantic data representation, Querying, Inference, and Analytics.
SANSA-Stack’s core is a processing data flow engine that provides data distribution and fault tolerance for distributed computations over RDF large-scale datasets.
The LAMBDA project is delighted to announce the Big Data Analytics Summer School 2019, that will take place at the Mihajlo Pupin Institute in Belgrade from 18 to 20 June 2019. Please see the promotional video here.
Big Data technologies are often used in domains where data is generated, stored and processes with rates that cannot be efficiently processed by one computer. One of those domains is definitely the domain of energy. Here, the processes of energy generation, transmission, distribution and use have to be concurrently monitored and analyzed in order to assure system stability without brownouts or blackouts. The transmission systems (grids) that transport electric energy are in general very large and robust infrastructures that are accompanied with an abundance of monitoring equipment.
On 25 April 2019 the LAMBDA team hosted the PEARL PV Consortium at PUPIN premises and presented recent results from commercial and research projects in energy domain. This was an opportunity to present the LAMBDA project and announce the Agenda of the Big Data Analytics School 2019.
