LAMBDA results were presented at the 18th International Conference on Computer Information Systems and Industrial Management Applications in Belgrade on 20th September 2019.
Introducing the LAMBDA project to prof. Young Im Cho, Gachon University, Korea (Keynote speaker).
The Paper entitled Linking Open Drug Data: Lessons Learned was presented by the first author Guma Lakshen, PhD student at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. The research was motivated by questions related to the quality assessment approaches and methods in open big data ecosystems, in particular, in applications based on linking private datasets from the drug industry with big datasets from the web published following the Linked Data principles in open data formats. The paper proposes a data quality evaluation approach that aims to discover quality issues as early as possible in the big linked data lifecycle prior to publishing the data in open format. In particular, the paper explores the development process of linked drug data applications, taking into consideration the specifics of the Arabic language and emphasizing the advantages and issues of using the linked data approach in the drug industry.
