Summary

One of the LAMBDA objectives is strengthening the linkages with industry and developing commercial awareness in order to facilitate the early involvement of researchers in the process of identifying real-world challenges, as well as to understand the use of Big Data and emerging technologies for competitive advantage of companies. Furthermore, research challenges and possibilities for solving problems in industry will be identified through a joint work with key stakeholders. To that aim, the consortium decided to establish a stakeholder database as part of the private side of the LAMBDA platform. This database will include all stakeholders that are relevant to involve at all levels: local, regional, national and EU. Following EU and national Data Protection Regulations, the data is restricted to the members of the consortium and each stakeholder registered with the LAMBDA platform has to read and accept the ‘Terms of Use’ document and LAMBDA ‘Privacy Policy’ document. Once registered on the platform, stakeholders can use all available e-collaboration tools.

This document describes the work carried out in the first six months of the LAMBDA project including the process of setting up and managing the stakeholder database as a part of the private section of the LAMBDA e-collaboration tool (based on the Drupal open-source CMS). Additionally it introduces the LAMBDA Network of Experts, established as a LinkedIn Group and the type of news shared within the group. Finally, this deliverable describes the strategy of how the stakeholder database will be maintained, which type of stakeholders to include and how to include them via LAMBDA Dissemination and Exploitation activities.
